Meet the heart and soul behind Kate’s Party People, and the wedding planning masterclasses. Hi, I’m Kate Turner and from the start of my business, I have always had a true passion for creating gorgeous events that reflect the unique style of each couple. My journey from hospitality to luxury events wasn’t always easy – but let’s backtrack a bit.
About me
In my family, where every special occasion was marked by a shared meal, that’s where my love for hospitality and entertainment started. My parents taught me the importance of celebrating achievements and styling tabletops. Growing up, I immersed myself in various creative endeavors, from running a roadside lemonade stand to planning weddings inspired by vintage magazines.
In 2012, I founded Kate + Company, known for its concierge-meets-interior-design approach to weddings. The team quickly gained recognition, making lists in Vogue and Bride’s Magazine. My commitment to perfection and authenticity led me to co-found 23 City Blocks Hospitality Group in 2013, revolutionizing private events with restaurant-style cuisine. In 2022, we sold the business to Butler’s Pantry to focus on other endeavors…like this very important party!

You’re invited to Kate’s Party People! We’re a community of like-minded creative professionals and, most, importantly a fun educational platform for planners looking to level up! As I said, my journey from hospitality to luxury events wasn’t always easy. Back in the day, resources were few and far between.
If they did exist, it felt like none of the available educational courses resonated with me or seemed practical. I longed for a space that merged authenticity, community, and creativity, …leading to the creation of Kate’s Party People!
