Let’s talk about breaking free from the one-size-fits-all approach. As planners, we’re constantly inundated with CRM’s and workflows that allow us to automate pieces and parts of our job. And as a small business owner this is hugely attractive.
Guess what? I don’t fit into the standard mold, and your clients don’t either!
In the luxury space, you should be serving your clients, customizing your approach to your clients preferences and communication style.
Think about it. You’re not a cookie-cutter version of a planner, bound by rigid rules and restrictions. You’re different, and that’s what makes you special. That is why they are hiring you. So, why would your workflow process be any different?
Every couple is unique with their own set of dreams, visions, and needs. Luxury clients come to you for your expertise and a personal touch. They’re not looking for a standardized experience… they want something tailored to them and their day.
That’s where customization comes into play. It’s about taking that standard workflow on the back-end and molding it to fit each specific client like a glove! Things we love standardizing? Contracts, invoices, on-boarding, and even questionnaires? Things we don’t love standardizing? Everything else.
So, step out of the mold and embrace your creativity. Customize your workflow to align with each client’s desires, preferences, and requirements. My friend Sam at Ideaction taught me this and it’s served me incredibly well. Thing about these 2 things when curating a workflow for your clients:
- Do they make decisions fast or slow?
- Do they lead with emotion or fact?
A couple that makes decisions slow but leads with facts is far different than someone who makes decisions fast but leads with emotion. These two couples need a totally different support system.
It’s all about creating a truly personalized experience that goes above and beyond to serve them well!
Remember, you’re not just a planner…you’re a creator of dreams ✨ You have the power to transform their wedding day into a magical, one-of-a-kind celebration. And serving luxury client all starts with breaking free from the standard mold and embracing the beauty of customization!
